The first of May, ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,’ is a series that brings to life a bygone era of courtesans and nawabs. Set in a pre-independent India, ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,’ will see the hub of arts and culture in Lahore reimagined. The story follows the influential tawaifs or courtesans who were said to have amassed power akin to nawabs.
